The Incredible Quest of Curious Dee: A Holiday Tale

Every year, Deardorff enjoys regaling clients with warm holiday wishes delivered in the most imaginative ways. The 2016 greeting came in the form of an adventurous tale we created, The Incredible Quest of Curious Dee. A lively sprite, Dee travels the world in search of the finest gift for her incomparable friends. ” New York to London to Cairo she’d fly, scanning the globe with her inquisitive eye.“

In a 16-page mini-booklet, beautifully illustrated by in-house artists, the story gives subtle nods to Deardorff clients as Dee searches on. It culminates with her discovery of the very best gift, a bottle of the world’s finest olive oil, included in a highly creative custom gift box. Dee’s adventures continued in a digital version targeting a larger audience at QuestofCuriousDee.com.

Murder At The Circus: A Big Top Halloween

Every year Deardorff hosts a Halloween party for the enjoyment of clients, sending out highly imaginative digital invitations. This year’s party theme was “ Murder at the Circus”, which centered around a murder that took place in an 1890’s traveling circus.

The intriguing HTML invitation took invitees to a fully animated website where the grisly murder of the star trapeze artist was presented in graphic detail, along with images of the suspects and their motives, all depicted with creepy stop motion photography. Deardorff’s technology team developed the site, complete with custom sound effects and parallax web experience. At the peak of the party, Deardorff employees — dressed as their online circus personas — staged a live performance in which the murderer was revealed.
